Any problems with chickens loose in horse pasture?

I used to live near a farm where we boarded an Arabian, the horse was best friends with a "Rooster" that would lay eggs in her feed bin and then the Arabian would eat the eggs

We,ve never had a problem. I do know some people that had a chicken drown in a horse tank though. It would stand on the edge of the tank to drink and was most likely pushed in by the horse. We had somebody bring a horse on our property to board that had bots. Of course, we wormed it, but there were a few piles of horse poop that hatched out thousands of bot flies. The chickens just stood by the poop and ate them as they emerged. They were quite helpful.

My horses, chickens, guineas, and sheep all free range. I do however find egg shells in the round bail. The onlt problem I have is A couple of the slow learning chickens do get stepped on, and they limp for a couple of days.

Now we never had chickens when we had our horses, but currently we free range our chickens with a couple goats and a yak - And they're fine! The only ones I worry about, honestly, are the chickens. The goats have a want and need to eat them quite often.

No poop problems here. . Just the need to keep the coop "Goat Proof" and have a whole run for the chickens to go into for safety, incase the goats want to do something to them. . . So, their nesting room is goat proofed, their coop is goat proofed, and the rooster's bachelor pad is goat proofed. I honestly don't worry about Yaks around them though, as they the only thing they do is run around aimlessly - The chickens just move out of the way in time.

Never had problems the other way around.
