Any Red Wine drinkers out there?

As someone who enjoys sweet whites, I am also looking for a good non-dry red that I would enjoy drinking. My fave whites are the German Rieslings, but I also enjoy the local winery riesling as well.

Shriraz was too dry for me; I do not like anything that tastes like wood or a forest!

MY RECOMMENDATION IS PINK CATAWBA by MYERS..........if you don't like dry, this is a happy medium. Its not too sweet or too dry. I drink it for two reasons: (1) heart, and (2)poison ivy control. I am highly alergic to poison ivy and a farmer told me 10 years ago if I drank a glass of red wine every day, I would never get poison ivy. Since I started drinking this wine, I have never broken out with poison ivy again.

It is not expensive........around $7.00 - $8.00 bottle depending on the area. Try it, I think you'll like it!

Was JUST going to recommend that! I live in Northern NY if you can find Bully Hill wines, St Lawrence Red or any of the Rivermyst wines you'll love them. I AM a wine snob and I still enjoy these, great taste, fruitier than I usually like but they also are an awesome deal at like 8 bucks a bottle.

Yup, love the Bully Hill table red, sweet, fruity and just plain good to drink!

Usually type(variety) of grape used.

So it doesn't have to be a RED wine to be heart healthy?

Red wine has resveratrol. Supposed to be good for the heart.
