Ah, I have been on vacation from scrapping for awhile. I am getting a new cricut machine and I need advice. The cartridges are very expensive so I need some suggestions on which ones to choose. I figure basic shapes, something school related and something seasonal (summer to start). Any suggestions?

I used to, but it would just drive me crazy when I couldn't get everything perfect. I'm too particular... I would spend hours and hours and hours and hours on one stupid page and it just got to be too much.
Now I have hundreds of dollars worth of stuff that I don't use.

I do some but without much fancy equipment. I scrap like I quilt. I collect lots and lots of paper/fabric then don't make the time to do anything with it. I hope to do some of both this summer.

I just find it hard to sit that long. I guess if I scrapbooked like a normal person, and not a crazy Type A person, I'd probably really enjoy it. I guess I'd rather be outside.

Yeah, I get distracted by, well, everything else. My 6yo, all the animals, house work, the garden. It's just not high on my priority list as much as I like the finished product.

I own lots of scrapbooking stuff and get to set and do it now and then I am going to start setting time aside for it at least 2 x's a week right now too much is going on. My quilting is the same way I finish the tops and get the backs and binding all ready and never put them together LOL well once in a while I will but the making of the tops are so much more fun LOL

I think that you have a good plan for your cartridges. Get a ABC one for sure and a disney as well. Good luck let me know how ya like it. I am so jealous LOL but happy for you

You need to try digital scrapbooking, especially if you use a digital camera. I never really could into the paper scrapping, I think it is the perfectionist in me, I could never get it good enough, but with digital, you can do something and if you don't like it you can just delete it, it is super easy to rearrange things, add things, delete things. Even my die hard paper scrapper sister (she even sold scrapbook stuff) who swore she would NEVER do digital scrapbooking, has sold all her paper stuff and gone to digital scrapbooking. The best part is you can reuse your digital stuff over and over again, you can change the colors of it and everything.

If anyone is interested in more information, feel free to e-mail or pm me and I will give you links to different digital scrapbook sites.
