Any suggestions on how close Coturnix & rabbits can be located?

How about with rabbits?

You shouldn't have any issues between two different species as diseases etc are generally species specific.

My immediate response is that there shouldn't be any issues, being two different species etc.. however I am happy to be contradicted by those with more experience. Are you wanting to keep them together?

Not directly together. About 6 to 10 feet apart.

It takes some pretty nasty diseases to jump between birds and mammals. Chickens should be kept far away because they carry a number of diseases that have minimal effect on them but can kill your quail, but no such concern exists with rabbits.
