I feed the layer to my hens.
i know quail need 24-28 protein as chicks so not sure how i can do that but as adults looks like 18-20 is good. and the grower is 18 so i dont think i need to add much more? I know i will have to grind all the food since its whole. But much easier to buy all the same feed. And i havent found any soy free feed that has high protein for quail unless i order it online.
also on a different question. some of my hens are still laying soft eggs, one has been doing it for a year but she had a bad prolapse and surprised she made it but the other one had no issues. They get oyster shell. wondering if i can purchase more calcium? my birds are a year to three years old.
Wheat, Peas, Camelina Meal, Sun Dried Alfalfa, Fish Meal, Crab or Lobster Meal as well as all the needed vitamins, minerals and digestion enzymes. These are complete rations. And chickens love it!
