Any Sweetgrass aficionados out there? -help w Tom selection request

Beard length is pretty much meaningless. Toms need to be kept away from hens if you want their beards to grow.

My hens keep the tom's beards trimmed very short.

Well.... I convince my husband to keep his beard trimmed pretty short as well.... so I have a hard time blaming our hens for doing the same
