I had this happen a long time ago and lost all of my flock. I moved from that location and recently started my flock again. I noticed today I have some red. Comets snezzing and running nose. I tried vetrex last time and the powder you put in their water. This didn't help last time. I lost everything. I. Have read about tylan 50. I never have used it. Please if you know of something I can do to fix them let me know. I don't want to lose any. Cost is not a issue. To see them sick makes me sad.

The birds you are getting may be infected with a respiratory disease if you are getting them from a breeder or a farm. How old are your birds? Tylan50 is an excellent antibiotic to treat symptoms of respiratory infections such as MG, but nothing will cure them, and they may be in your flock whenever chickens get stressed. Since you are only seeing sneezing and runny nose, it may be infectious bronchitis, but I would recommend that you get a bird tested or a necropsy done on a dying bird. That is the only way to know exactly what is going on since many diseases have similar symptoms. Dosage of Tylan 50 given as a shot into the breast muscle is 1/4 ml in bantams, 1/2 ml in chickens under 5 lb, and 1 ml for over 5 lb. I wouldn't use this on chicks. Culling birds, cleaning and disinfection of facilities, and waiting several weeks to start over is the only way to get rid of some respiratory diseases. Here is a good link about respiratory diseases: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

You need to move you chickens when you are burning things like brush or any trash and the feed is not the problem ..

Chickens are funny about smoke for some reason and runny nose and sneezing are more from that then wind it seems ...

Just trying to burn a stomp. I haven't had any new birds for awhile. I am going to treat em abd keep them separate for awhile
