Any tips for a beginner raising Coturnix quail?

Here is my tip on Coturnix- They are the most valuable commodity out there in the quail world. All varieties (not breeds) are just colors and look the same when butchered. Coturnix have many uses- pets, eggs, meat, and their eggs go further in egg art. I would avoid learning from the internet as there is a lot of false info out there. Sit down, do some research, get journal articles, that's how you will learn about this great bird.

My bubble is completely intact ..I have butchered lots of the A&m quail ..They Are white meat, in fact I butchered 2 A&ms and 2 Bobwhites monday nite .the white birds were all white ,the bobs have darker thighs and leg meat .The reg,. cortunix are all dark meat .I don't know about you're experiances with them ,I only know about mine ..I have no reason to lie about this . I have never heard of them being classed a gamebird in this country .They did'nt exist until Texas A&M created them .

Have you ever butchered the Texas A&m quail ..I don't know how we could differ on what is white meat ,The meat on the legs are the same color as the White meat of the breast ...

I appreciate all the help. Another question... How many weeks old can I put the new quail in with the older quail? Of course after I have them in the wire divider.
