I've tried to grow lemon thyme twice now, and both times have been unsuccessful. I am not sure if it is getting over watered, or not watered enough, but literally within a few days of buying it it starts to wilt and no matter what I do it doesn't seem to help. Any advice?

You're probably over watering. They require full sun and very low water.
Try elevating the soil by building up the soil so it will drain better, try a new location or grow it in a container - that works very well and you can place it in full sun.

My lemon thyme is in full sun in the corner of a raised bed where the boards don't quite fit together so it drains very well... and I slack on water in general... I think Chicken Canoe is right, prob too much water!

My lemon thyme is very neglected - it's so darn hot outside I just run out every few days and throw some water on the plants and run back in. The thyme is doing great! It must love neglect.
