Oh the print is K-9 and it was a house dog as a wolf would have broken in as would a hog, Bear wand a Mountain lion would have had no problem slashing it's way in no this was a house pet with all the ground running around your coop .....

I have had to call the Deputies more then once to take the remains of dogs back to the owners

Do you have coyotes in your area? Very possible it could have been a coyote instead of a domestic dog...

Thank you everyone.

We do have coyotes, but we also have neighbors who have decided the leash law is optional. One dog in particular has shown an undesirable temperament. Since the paw print says domestic dog, my guess would be that particular dog. Even my Deja didn't like the dog and she likes everyone.

Coyotes do not run back and forth that is a domestic dog act
Coyotes do try to keep their actions down to a minimum and
I have watched the Coyotes watch my chickens and they
just stand by my and look through the wire and watch and a
domestic dog on the other hand will act like an ideate run
back and forth barking and jumping up and down ......
