My daughter is the die hard Trekkie. She's 21 and know EVERY OS by by heart. We even went to the 40th convention here in Seattle at, of course, the "Space Needle" it was very fun and we got to meet everyone but Kirk and Spok. We went the Thursday that the movie came out and she liked the movie a lot but "Kirk was born in Iowa not space!"

I loved the movie.

I wish that I had a Trek shirt!

The Indianapolis Philharmonic, Anne's orchestra, played at their convention when they had it in Indianapolis a few years back.

There were regular long sleeved red shirts. I just hand sewed the black border on and the gold sleeve accents. The badges were made out of Fimo clay.

I also bought myself a replica communicator

Resurrecting this thread

So I've finally watched this new Trek, actually about five times now, and it just does not get old. For me that's a sign of an awesome movie.

PC, lifelong Trekkie and proud of it. The future is bright my friends.

We're going to have to buy the new Trek movie. After taking the kids to see it we've added 2 new trekkies to the ranks. My daughters LOVED that movie, and then wanted to see the old shows. Oldest has watched all the first season episodes on the computer, and we watched all the 'old' movies as a family. Pretty cool!!
