ANY TREKKIES OUT THERE????

Seen it twice now and would be readily willing to see it a third time.

There is absolutely nothing wrong with being a trekkie. My daughters took me for Mother's day! I really enjoyed it too. I would have liked more one-liners about the old trek. Did you guys notice when they...Oh, spoiler alert

Did you guys notice when Kirk and Sulu jumped out of the shuttle craft to land on the drill. The guy that gets killed....What was he wearing???? RED!!!!!!!!!!!! I didn't realize it until I was halfway home. I wonder how many other subtle things I missed? Have any of you been the the Star Trek Experience in Las Vegas? That is the BOMB!! My Dh even liked it and he is definately not a Trekkie.

***Spoiler Alert***

LMAO I had to explain the "red" rule to DH and the stepson on the way home. They didnt get it... its like a LAW in TrekLand lol. And the whole inter-racial kiss bit... in the Original series it was supposed to be Spock and Uhura so that was a great tip of the hat to Leonard Nimoy

I could catch something new every time I watch it I think!!!!

Spoiler alert!!!!

One of the classic criticisms of the series is the whole "Star Date" thing and how it didn't make sense. When Kirk said...

"Star date...uhhh...WHATEVER"
I just about fell out of the chair

My personal favorite scene ((SPOILER!!)):

Where Bones took pity on Kirk standing in the shuttle bay as all of the rest of the fleet took off for Vulcan and decided to inject him with that vaccine. The whole bit that ensued with his hands swelling up, then his tongue going numb and him irritably trying to yell a mumbled, "Will you stoppat!!" as Bones kept injecting him with stuff was just priceless. I giggle just thinking about it.
