Not a trekkie either, even though I LOVE the original series.

We saw the movie last weekend and I have to say I would pay full price to see it again AND it's on my BUY list when it comes out on DVD.
It was really good. Better than Wolverine

I'm afraid I loved Star Trek too much to go see this new movie. I just can't imagine a new crop of cookie-cutter young actors in the rolls of my outer-space cowboy heroes!
 
I had the same fear. Guess what? IT WAS UNFOUNDED!!!!

The casting director deserves a freaking medal.

My hubby, who is not a trekkie like me really liked it too. His main comment was "Thank GOD! None of that touchy-feely Next Generation crap."

Trekkie here! DH is slightly disturbed by my knowledge and all the books I have on the topic... but hey it melts my chocolate, what can I say!?! Now if only he'd let me go to the convention.....

Small thing about spocks mother there . she died in this movie and was around later times. ?? But I'll bet 5c they have something up there sleve on that. I think they are on to something here! More movies (i hope) or a weekly show??
