Any way/ reason to patch a cracked egg?

I used masking or painter's tape on my eggs, and they usually make it through to hatching time with no problems.

Does hot glue work too? I figured it would be slightly stronger than wax

What do you have to lose, right?

a LOTT I need atleast 3 ducks to hatch and one cracked. Is it okay if I use hot glue+some melted crayon??
