Is this your culprit? If so, Black-billed Magpies. (This is not my photographer)I had a pair of black and white birds that are twice the size of a starling attacking my eggs and ducklings, had to assign a rooster to guard the ducks. Tried to get a pic of the birds, but they don't sit still and I only have a phone camera.
Wow! These are great!bugs are fun, they are much easier to capture because you can get much closer to them. I try to push myself as much as I can in getting really good photographs with my cell phone, much easier to lug around than my big camera and lenses.
