Humm ... are you saying that Galby "Might" have a few dragon riders tucked away in there?

I have read three of them. They were okay. Granted, they were written by a young person for children. That being said, he did a great job.

The author did borrow heavily from Tolkien. It also felt like he borrowed heavily from a series by Mercedes Lackey (the first is titled Joust). If you liked Eragon you should try her series. It is much, much better.

No, I don't think he's got a stash of riders.. he's WAY too paranoid for that... but I don't doubt that he's got a cache of 'hearts' tucked away... just a question of whether they're right near him (likely as at least with Eragon he's got to have physical contact with a big freaking stone to 'feel' Glaedr) or whether he's tucked away a cache somewhere other than his person that Varden, etc could get to... if they could find it, bypass enchantments, etc.

All that leads me to think the Vault of Souls is a vault of Dragon souls... that perhaps Eragon can use to defeat him... then he can take those, as well as Galby's in the ship (why else would two riders NEED a boat unless to carry a boatload of cargo) off to wherever it is they end up going... I'm leaning to someone... Arya, Glaedr (ala Oromis's memories) or another elf fiinally figuring where they've heard that before and directing Eragon to find it... thus he'll be as powerful/able to defeat Galby... but who knows...

CityGirlintheCountry: Yes he did copy at lot from Tolkien, but I think he did way better.

Tolkien has so many levels. He was the MASTER at creating worlds and languages and peoples. I mean, seriously, the man created not only words of language, but a whole style of script (writing form). Brilliant!!

Really, you should try the Mercedes Lackey Joust series. You would probably really like them.

OMG I love those books!

My favorite character is Saphira. I also like Solembum (sp). I have read the first one and am going to read the rest soon. I am surprised by the number of people who don't like the books...
The movie was a little weird for me and was only loosely based on the book, I mean Arya is an elf right? In the movie she doesn't have pointy ears.

Did I mention I'm madly in love with Murtagh? I wrote a fan fic about him having a romance with the future green dragon rider (played by me, LOL)
