Anybody else fluent in ASL?

Love my Critters! :

I am! It is hard to stay in practice because I don't know anyone that uses it.

I stay in practice by signing random things I see. If I see a dog I'll sign dog, then I might sign: "There is a dog" ect.

I would use some signs at my dd such as "stop", "close mouth" "quiet" "good" and she understands that. When she gets into her foul mood to "attack" her dad with words, I would put me finger up in the air and put it to my lip...she would stop and pout. Hubby and daughter are good at going at each other's throats for the heck of it....similiar disposition and personality that just clashes.

Gunk on her, skeeter bites all over the both of us.

I took ASL in college and can usually make myself understood.

I'm thinking about an ASL class this year.

It's quite fun IMO. It is amazing when somebody gives you the "can't hear you I'm def" sign and you sign back and start a HUGE convo it's a rush for me.

I only know one sign and I'm pretty sure it's USL (Universal Sign Language) and I know for a fact it's not BYC appropriate.
