Arrgghh! I have eggs in the bator and eggs under a broody! I'm totally stuck as what to do since I have no generator. Bator eggs are even supposed to hatch this weekend. Thanks, just needed to vent. Advice wouldn't be ignored!

Hot water bottles?
If you have a way to keep or get water hot fill bottles with hot water. Its the only low tech thing I can think of.Even bottles sitting in the sun will heat up water.
I allways save food grade bottle to keep filled with water for emergancies anyway, like soda bottle or juice bottles ect ect...

You make a good point, best to plan ahead. I have heard of people using things like disposable hand warmers, hot water bottles, all sorts of things that can provide a temporary solution and keep the eggs viable.

You could go buy your self a 12 volt to 110 volt power converter for your car. I think they are about $20 and will plug into your cig lighter or power port. I would just make sure i had a full tank of fuel and start the car ever so often to recharge the battery.

I have 24 in the bator right now....with 6 of them to be in lockdown bator on the 30th. We also don't have a generator, however my neighbor does and kindly lets us run a chord over to it.

oh no! You just made me think...I wish you the best of luck...what type of bator do you have? if it is small enough to wrap in blankets? run a hot hot shower in the bathroom and seal it off?

I am in GA..I hope she doesn't hit us...
