Hi! I have this cute little Serama cockerel that hatched here and was handled a good bit as a youngster --- that has in the last month started SCREAMING at the top of his lungs whenever I pick him up.
He *acts* quite friendly on the ground and doesn't struggle to get away when picked up, just screams... continuously... and loudly.
The longest I've been able to stand it is 10 or so mins and then I have to put him down before my eardrums burst. He stops as soon as I put him down and doesn't run away or act frightened. I can pick him right back up and he'll start screaming again.
What is wrong with this crazed bird?
He'll do the same whether I pick him up once a day or several times a day.
It is the strangest thing.
Has anyone else seen this before?
Lisa
