Anybody else having sticker shock on coffee?

I like coffee with lots of creamer, but don't consider it a staple of life (far from it) so if it gets to where I think it's too expensive, then meh, I just won't buy it. There are definitely bigger things to think about than the price of coffee, IMO.

Americans have practically made coffee into a god.

I just found this on Wikipedia... "Organic coffee is produced under strict certification guidelines, and is grown without the use of potentially harmful artificial pesticides or fertilizers; conventional coffee is grown with more pesticides than any other agricultural crop—cotton comes second." I had no idea. Kind of makes me sick, and will soon be checking out the prices of organic coffee, which may be the biggest sticker shock.

Some of my coffee drinkers in my family swore there ARE differences in taste and aroma in coffees and they prefer to stick with one brand. Folgers the going brand around here while my own family, here, do not drink coffee but occassionally teas. I love the smell of coffee but dont drink it.

There's just something about the Dunkin Donuts coffee that is sooooooooo good. I used to be a Starbucks Guatemala beans girl, but the DD won me over. I enjoy couponing and getting good deals on other things so I feel I can sort of justify the cost LOL

I like my coffee in the morning, a cup in the evening, whenever I come in from the cold after being out for a long period, etc.... I could do without coffee but I'd have to ween myself first.....I'd hate to have to battle the headaches from the withdrawal!! If push comes to shove and there other necessities I needed then absolutely.....I could go without.

Really....I could do with out my morning coffee but I know I'd take up some other liquid habit to fulfill the loss of my morning & evening charge.....Monsters, Mello Yellow, Mountain Dew and whatever else they have out there that does basically the same.
