Anybody else having sticker shock on coffee?

Went to Stater Bros' today to get a few things, one of them being coffee. I was completely stunned at the price hike on decaf. Normally a 34.5 oz can of store brand decaf costs $9.99 ($8.99 if it's on sale). Well today I found out that the decaf now comes in 24.5 oz cans and STILL costs $9.99. That's almost exactly 1/3 less for the same price. The other ones still come in the 34.5 oz cans and the price did not increase on them. I guess me and The Big Guy are going to have to cut way down on our coffee.

Sugar stayed the same price too but now its in 4pound packages instead of 5

Coffee had already shot up in our area - DH hates that I buy the store brand, but I can't even look at the name brand stuff it's so $$$. Wait to you see the peanut butter hikes

Well I can tell you that coffee growers in Honduras (small ones) are absolutely delighted. This is a great year for them.

To be honest i really dont look at the price. i always buy flavored beans and my machine grinds them fresh. I only use 1/2 pounds a month.

I remember when the normal size for a can of coffee was either 16 oz (1 lb) or 48 oz (3 lb) before they started making them smaller and leaving the price the same.

I work at a coffee shop so i get a free lb of beans every two weeks
