Anybody ever own an African Clawed frog?

eventmerlin reminded me of a funny story. I was in the hallway of our house and heard this scrabbling noise. I got freaked out (squirrels have gotten in before) and ran for my mom. No squirrel was to be found however, and she thought I must have been over reacting. Then we heard a shriek from my sister's room. We ran in and there on her floor, dry and covered in dust and appearing dead, was one of my frogs. I had no idea how it had gotten out of its tank and was very sad. I put it back in the water anyway, where it floated motionless. My parents prepared me for the worst, but after a few minutes, it kicked and swam to the bottom. It was fine! So yes, be careful because they can escape! Silly frogs don't know they can't live out of water

Mine were in the fish tank with a filter, we had to cover it with foil to...foil his escape attempts.

Mine ate brine shrimp (freeze dried) bloodworm block and fish flakes and anything else smaller then his mouth
