Anybody going to be hatching around March 22?

my first hatch will be on the 23rd as well

i have 40 BO eggys on the grill!

My first hatch is due on the 19th or 20th. Wow, there are alot of us due then!

I have black copper marans under my broody cuckoo marans hen, Tango. I bought the eggs online, candled them on day 7 and only one was bad. I am keeping my fingers crossed that I'll get some chicks from the remaining 6 eggs! I will candle again the day after tomorrow (day 14).

Hi Everyone,
Mine are due on 3/24 and yesterday was day 7 so I did some candling.

Out of my 12 own barnyard mutts:
1 blood ring
1 looks infertile
1 is a ?
9 have development

Out of my 12 shipped cuckoo marans:
2 don't look like they are fertile
2 are a ?
1 I could see good veining, but not the chick
7 have development

I culled the blood ring egg, but I'm going to recheck the eggs that look infertile or questionable at day 10 before I cull them.
Some of the Maran eggs are really dark so I don't want to throw out a good one by accident!

I think if this hatch doesn't go well, I will definitely try that the next time--putting them in an egg carton that is for turning and then take them out before the hatch.

I candled last night (Due on the 20th) and took out 11 eggs. I still have 34 in the bator. Hope all 34 make it.

I have speckled sussex, BLRW, and Buff O. I am getting really excited And I can't stop looking at the bator. GOOD LUCK !!!

I have a Buff Orp/EE/Silkie mix mama sitting on 6 EE eggs, due 20/21!

We just had 5 hatch last week with a Black Austrolorp/Silkie mix mama. We call her our incubator (she hatched and raised 3 broods last year!).

I had 6 silkie eggs under a broody hen that are due on the 21st.

I had to discard one - not developing/clear and infertile.

The other 5 are doing great! I saw the little chicks moving around last night! It is so amazing to watch their development. Now I can pick out 2 little legs and a beak shape in the eggs. In one I could even see something that looked like a little wing flapping around!
