Wow, this is really testing my patience! Atleast my temps and humidity have worked themselves out to be 99degrees and 40-45% humidity!

Now we wait...and I hate waiting!!!

My temp and humidity has been fluctuating a bit. For a while it ranged 97-98. I finally put one vent plug in and that helped keep the temp. up. And I add a little water in the morning to just one well and the humidity will sometimes jump to the upper 60's but by bedtime, it's usually down to the low 30's. I hope the high's make up for the low's and so on...

And twice now I've gone in in the morning and found the temp to be 103.5!! I'm hoping it couldn't have been that way for too long--long enough to get the eggs that high.

Have one anxious egg due on the 20th, an ee mutt. The mom of which died a couple of weeks ago.

She was a favorite of ours that we only kept one egg. A very nice girl. That's why anxious!

Then on the 28th, 4 more banatm buttercups due to hatch.

I candled a few of my ? eggs tonight and decided to take 4 of them out. They look pretty clear. And I won't be cracking them, I think the smell will get to me, so I decided not to. So we're down to 31 eggs. And I have 1 egg still in that I'll candle in a few days and that one may come out too. Other than that, I'm done with the candling, and leaving them until next weekend when they'll hopefully hatch! I did try to take pictures of the ones I took out, I can post them tomorrow if anyone is interested.

My eggs are due on the 25th, so I thought I'd join the party. I'm hatching out mutts as well. This is our first hatch, and we're all very excited. My five year old just stared at the incubator and yelled, "Wake up, eggs!"

I have only candled a few. One of the embryos is a stunt chicken, very active and doing crazy acrobatics. We're very excited!
