Anybody going to be hatching around March 22?

Ok so I figured out when my humidity is up my temp drops (Did everyone but me know this?) So I have my humidity at 60 now and my temp at 101. Let's see if I can keep it around there for 48 more hours!

I think it's the other way around. When the temp goes up the humidity goes down and vice versa. I haven't noticed it with my hovabators because the temps don't fluctuate that much but with my home made bator it did fluctuate as the temp did.
I got my first hatch today. A Dominique bantam. I have only two more eggs. One is a blue andalusian and one is a silver laced wyandotte.
Apparently the main post office here must have exrayed the eggs or left them out to freeze or something because all three batches that were delivered that day never developed. Just the one from each batch. All three boxes of eggs were from different breeders. I have never had that happen before and I have hatched lots of shipped eggs this year.
Anyway, I am happy with this one little cutie pie!! Hopefully tomorrow the other two will hatch. It will be day 21.

PS. I have hatched with and without cartons and I much prefer the carton method. I was told that if the chicks roll the eggs around too much the unhatched chick can get disoriented and not find its way to the air cell. This way the eggs are basically undisturbed.

Hatching 11 White Leghorns and 1 Blue Cochin on the 22nd!! Sending Hacthing pipping -n- hactching vibes to all. Best of luck.

Today is day 21 and I now have three pips!!!
Actually I saw two last night before I went to bed, now there's one more. There hasn't been any more progress than the initial pip yet, but I do hear peeps! There are nine eggs in there now, three pipped. I had 16 originally, culled the clears and quitters. I left one or two in the bator that I was unsure about. Funny how out of 16 eggs, three little pips are incredibly exciting!!!

Good hatching vibes everybody!

(edited to add question)

I have a broody silkie right now...she's been sitting on one egg for about 4 days. Does anyone suggest me bringing her in and putting my 11 eggs from the bator under her??? or would 11 eggs be too many for my little girl? I'd love to use her though... (of the 11 eggs, 3 of them are bantams)

Since you have used the cartons, let me ask you, did you cut any of it out for air or just stick them in there? My first hatch I did not use cartons, but I was going to try it this time b/c like you said they get rolled around so much if you don't.
Already have cartons ready, will be placing eggs in on Sunday!
Thanks!!

I cut the height down a bit for my bantam eggs but you don't need to do that with larger eggs. I did cut a circle out of the bottom so they can breathe. About nickle size.
Good luck!!
