Anybody going to be hatching around March 22?

Just wanted to pop in and say my hatch has went well so far. Last night I had only 5 that hadn't hatched. 2were pipped and chirping away, the other 3 nothing. But half of these eggs were shipped and the other half test eggs from a neighbor who wanted to check out his fertility and just wanted to see what he would get b/c his chickens are all mixed up. I haven't opened the bator yet this morning, but I am sure those other 2 have hatched. I will post pics later!

Huny I am so sorry! You know I almost did that with my first chicks. I happened to realize it just in time. After that I ran out and got a thermometer for the brooder. I feel so bad for you, I hate "experience." It may teach but it sucks.

oh my goodness!!
Went to the bator this am and five more heads were peeking up at me!!!!

I am up to 10 chickies and only two we are still waiting on - How amazing!!

I am soo sorry about those that have had losses

We are moving part of ours into another bator so they all have room to hatch are we to turn the temp down ???or leave at the 100 for the next few days till they pip? I know they need to be able to get away from the heat in the broader , but I can't remember what the temp needs to be for the hatcher????

My eggs were due to hatch today. One hatched yesterday. It had pipped the day before. When I candled everyone on the 17th they were all moving and alive. My three remaining eggs are not doing anything! How long do I give them?

Is an EE an Ameraucana mutt that lays blue eggs? What is the likelihood that a momma Ameraucana will lay blue eggs if the roo was of a brown egg layer variety?

Yup, I know, counting my blue eggs before they've been laid...
