We just moved our eggs we have 22 straight Cuckoo Marans in 1 bator and 19 mixes in the other. On the Mixed the Hens are Buff Orpington, RIR, and Cuckoo Marans, the Roos could be Cuckoo Marans or our Black Bantam Frazzle. I will band the straight Cuckoos so we can keep them straight. Now just to wait

Well we are done hatching... I had 25 eggs to begin with and removed 2 on day 14 that were clear... Of the 23 remaining I have 20 chicks and I checked the remaining 3 eggs and 2 of them pipped at the bottom and I am assuming drowned, 1 did nothing... I feel bad about the 2 but like my dd said with the eggs small side down in the egg carton there was no way of seeing down there to know that was what happen. I did not have holes cut into my cartons (I didn't read to do that until after I had them all in the cartons and my temp/humidity stable) so there was liquid in the bottom of the carton that with holes would of drained out and maybe there would of been a better outcome for these 2.
The 20 look great

Congrats all!!!!

I am up to 7 chicks, and at least 5 pips that I can see. The chicks are rolling the eggs all around, so I hope they're ok. Only 2 of them are completely dry so I'm not going to take any out now. I LOVE all the pics by the way!!!
