I have cayuga/snowy call mixes due on the 20th. I also have some crested blue swedish and crested pekins due at the end of the month.. I think I'll make a site devoted completely to baby pics for everyone. Its so exciting when they hatch isn't it?

I have a batch of call ducks hatching today. Hopefully they are all done hatching by tonight.

Today is day 18 for my eggs due this friday, and I need to move them to the hatcher. So I will have to move the ducklings, clean it, get the humidity where it is supposed to be, and move the eggs.

I have duck eggs under a broody due on the 20th and I have Japs due on the 19th, but my Jap eggs always hatch 2 days early, so that would be the 17th.

I did a final candle of my impossibly staggered group, marked each for progress and will turn until tomorrow on all and then stop. I moved the most advanced eggs to the hatcher I made, there are five of those.

The others were a day and more behind up to what looks like the last at possibly four days behind. I marked them B BC C or D and I had two I was pretty sure had their idiot heads the wrong way and marked those for future reference.

Since some are marked C and D I won't sweat those when they don't hatch when the A B's and BC's go.

There have been traditions of and studies on not turning for the last five days and I think I'm going to let that happen with the slowest progressing eggs rather than mess with the humidity by persisting in turning them.

So sitting on my hands starts tomorrow. I'd appreciate thoughts and prayers for my lot of ort eggs. Even one would be a victory.

I have 15 silkie eggs in the bator. Today would be day 20 for me. I started with 22 shipped from 2 ppl. Had to take out 7 for infertility and bloodrings. I did leave about 2-3 in the bator that appeared to have a small bloodring. I couldn't tell with the large dark spot in there. I know there was a developing chick in there so I left them in, in case I was wrong about the bloodring. This is my first hatch so I hope I get something out of it. Now that I had to up my humidity, my temp has been going whacky and was at 102.3* this morning...even though I checked on it several times in the middle of the night. Good Luck to all of your hatches! I heard silkie eggs can come as early as 18 days, but this isn't the case for me. I don't even see a pip yet!
