Anybody have a hen drop a yolk when molting?

I've got seven pullets about 10 months old. Two of them quit laying and are molting, one molting heavily.

Tonight I noticed a decent amount of yellow goo going up the steps into the roost. It was dark and had been there for a few minutes, couldn't tell for sure if it was a yolk or not but sure looked like it. I didn't see any evidence of shell in the area.

The chickens have been eating well. They free range an acre and they've got winter wheat grass along with feeders for whenever they want pellets. Grit and oyster shell are also available. Poop has been very regular and non-alarming, large green dollops with white on top.

Only 2 chickens were up in the roost that early, the 2 molters. All the other chickens took notice approaching the steps and pecked at the yellow a bit, so they definitely noticed it going up.

Wondering if one of the 2 molters squeezed out a yolk going up the steps. Other than general grumpiness and looking frumpy, they've seemed healthy despite looking like they've got mange. Their feathers are coming back in so the molt is easing a bit.

Anybody else ever have this experience?
