Anybody have any useful hints or tips for using power tools

My biggest tip is to read, understand and follow the safety instructions.

Other than that would be to take your time. Learn on small projects like garden benches then small cabinets or night stands before taking on a huge project.

If you take care of your tools they will last longer.
Always have extra drill bits/saw blades/etc , I know it may sound odd, but trust me.

**Also it helps if you get experience from others- I learned how to use tools from my relatives when I was younger.

Good luck! :D

Keep your body parts out of the way of the sharp moving parts of power tools. :D

Yes!

Safety first, second, third, fourth, fifth, ...

YouTube is your friend.

Indeed. Though always get info from several sources to make sure that you've got the right information.

already slipped with a japanese chisel and cut down to the bone on my thumb:lol:
Well, that's not a power tool, but yeah....keep your body parts away from sharp stuff.

One day I needed to cut boards and for this I needed a chainsaw. I reviewed a lot of scroll saw reviews because I planned to make my work easier and get a good powerful tool. I was lucky enough to find one such good website that had reviews of the most interesting options, among which was the chainsaw that I later bought. I think that YouTube can also provide a lot of interesting information in this regard, but reviews of tools are much more convenient for me, and I think it will be useful for you to learn about it .
Cutting lumber with a chainsaw?!?!
Scroll saw was your only other option?
