I found everything
Thanks for the help. I ended up calling the 2 close TSC's, one said they get theirs on monday, the other wasnt sure. . . . so I think I will stick with the one that knows when they are getting them.

I had a nice dose of that today... called the Lampasas, Texas TSC and they said they should have them early next week.. he also told me they would have chicks and ducklings.. but he wasn't sure about turkey poults.. so ok.. I thanked him and asked if he knew if they would be carrying rabbits (it's a new-ish store and I don't think they were open last spring).. he said he didn't think they would be carrying rabbits at all.. so in all I found out some info.. after I hung up I figured I would call the other local store that has been around for a whileLots of people who you ask in person about things at TSC simply aren't informed, or sadly, don't seem interested in being of any help in finding out answers. Not just Chick Days, but being helpful in general. Same with employees who might answer the phone.
These are retail workers who aren't always super well trained, highly motivated nor particularly feel their pay rate justifies their caring a whole lot. This NOT uniquely a TSC problem, let's be quick to say, in all fairness. It is what it is.
Either I ask for a manager, or I seldom bother engaging a conversation with an employee whose responses may or may not very helpful.
When we went to TSC this morning, we found the *help* very very rude, surly and not helpful at all. Asked about chicks and they muttered that they were not in and "he" (store manager I guess) would call the post office to see if they were there. Went to get breakfast and back to TSC... "he" had not called, but finally did once I asked AGAIN if chicks were in or when they expected them. The whole staff there just seemed very annoyed to even have to answer simple questions. I work at Fry's Electronics and if we behaved that way with customers, we'd be sent packing. >.<
It sometimes seems that these chain stores treat people like a nuisance rather than the people who allow them to have a job.
Do you have any feed stores nearby? I would suggest taking your business there, and they will probably appreciate you coming in and wanting to make a purchase.
The one here in Tyler did not have them today and the gentleman on the phone was less than helpful. Atwoods did though for only a few cents more per chick, in stock is better than not. Six new bantam chicks for me!!!
