ANYBODY ON YOUR LAST 3 DAYS!!!

I am on Day 18 with one lone egg. It is from skeeter9's Blue Ameraucana pair. The hen just up and died and left one egg behind. If I don't have a broody get serious real soon, I'll be looking for a buddy for this chick.

I candled them about a week ago, but dont really know what to look for, it wsa dark in there, but only on one side, and I saw a little dot I assume was an eye?? I really dont know...lol...but I didnt see any movement, so Im not getting my hopes up. Anyone know how long to wait befor you throw them away?

I have a bunch of mixed breeds chicken eggs in the bator that are due to hatch on Friday.

OMG OMG OMG !!!!! Can I just say....OH MY GOSH!!!

Y'all got me wishing my eggs would hatch, so Iwent in there and looked in....I have two different staged of eggs, divided by the thermometer, so IM looking at the oldest eggs, and guess what!!!!!! NOTHING! Not a thing....but I hear a little pecking noise....and my other eggs are hatching, one is pipped throught the shell...of a GREEN egg!!! I dont know if I had my dates wrong or they are early but....THEY ARE HATCHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Sorry, Im going to breath now...my first hatch since I was 16!!!! Im soooo happy!!

Good luck everyone! I have 4 little Serama eggs I just took out of the turner along with 4 call duck eggs all on their last three days! I am so excited! The Seramas are my first eggs from my own hens! A friend gave me some call duck eggs. Everybody wish me luck... It's going to be a long three days!!!
