Why all the Harley Bashing ... are you jealous
We own 2 and they dont leak any more thats really old school

THey are just jealous. When is the last time you saw one of those rice burner drivers stand honor guard for a fallen solider? how bout never because they are getting scraped of the road by the paramedics.

1. The one true American-made motorcycle is the Harley-Davidson, and thou shalt put no other motorcycles before it.

2. Thou shalt not bow down and worship nor serve the god of chrome; for, lo, he is a false god and will not get thy butt home.

3. Honor thy authorized dealer and thy hog chapter officers, that thy days may be long and fruitful in the land of Harley.

4. Remember the weekend, and keep it open. for it is written, five days shalt thou labor, and for two days shalt thou ride thy Harley, drink beer, and fudge off.

5. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's Harley, nor her manservant, nor her maidservant, nor her ox, nor her cute little ass.

6. From the throne of thine Harley, thou shalt not stoop to wave at sinners who ride jap-crap, for jap-crap is known to be the handiwork of the devil.

7. Thou shalt not pass by nor turn away from thy brother Harley rider who is in mechanical distress.

I was not bashing harley, I was making a funny. But now.....................

That is the best part of harley owners. NO SENSE OF HUMOR. I have 4 bikes, if I wanted a harley I would own one. NO JELOUSY HERE. What is there to be jealous about? Name 3 facts about harley that make them a BETER bike than top 4 jap bikes? (Yam, Hon, Kaw, Suk) Don't start out with "American Made" unless EVERYTHING in your household, including your lip gloss and underpants are made in America. I like speed, performance, reliability and looks, all of which harley does not have (looks is a grey issue). What I like the least about (most, 98%) harley riders, is that they think that they are better than other motorcyclists on the road, THEY DON"T WAVE! I wave to scooters on up, including the harley snobs. Maybe they don't wave because if they take their hand off the bike, it will rattle apart, or their jacket decorations make their arms too heavy, I don't know, but it is RUDE to not wave. My best friend that I have known for 30+ years has a 96 harley, it is in the garage covered with dust, dead battery, clogged carb and out of oil, hasn't seen the road since he moved 7 years ago when I trailered it to the new house for him. He has a sense of humor, but he won't wave (when he used to ride) to non harleys. I just don't get it.

That is BS about the honor guard, I know more military people with sport bikes than harleys, I am 10 minutes from VAFB. Don't judge my patriotism based on my bikes. I love the military and its families.

Dear Military Wife let me share a story. The Base Commander was at a luncheon for military wives, when he got to the podium to speak, he asked that all the women re-seat themselves according to rank, highest in the front and lowest in the back. When all of the women were done moving and ranking their seating, he said, "you have no rank; your husbands are in the military not you."

My point is, don't keep tossing your husbands job into the conversation, it ruins the sincerity. It is not relevant in this forum topic, so why bring it up? No one assaulted military personnel in this thread, so why do you make it an issue?

Again, I LOVE the military, I have GREAT respect for them, I wish I would have joined (family obligations required me at home right out of high school and still today.)

God Bless America!

I used to ride year round, still have my license but when DW got pregnant with our first child I sold my bikes (all 5)

We used to do all the local charity rides, and on weekends we would pack a couple of changes of clothes and just head out, no plans, along the way we would figure out where we wanted to go.

I've owned 74 Honda CT70 which was my first bike at age 11, an 86 Shadow VT500, a 79 KZ440 LTD, a 82 GL500 silverwing tourer with rear air spring, full fairing, trunk and side bags. We put many, many miles on the silverwing.

My kids are now approaching adulthood, and 10 minutes after the youngest moves out I want to buy another bike.

The jokes always fly back and forth between riders of different brands, but I've found that when you get out there where the rubber meets the road that there is a kinship among bikers no matter what make of bike they ride, and you gotta love that.

Exactly! I think this thread started out being about who rides.. not which bike is better.

I was interested in who rode and what they rode but the jokes started making the thread much less interesting. There's a section here for games and jokes I believe... I'm more interested in seeing bikes..... ANY and ALL KINDS! Take the jokes and insults elsewhere.

Here it is common to see groups of riders consisting of hogs, jap cruisers and sport bikes out enjoying a ride on a nice day.

I wave at all bikers , some don't wave back, so what?
A wave doesn't cost anything. I only consider a rider really rude if they flip me off, and that has happened a total of one time.

I wave back most every time except when it's not safe to. I had to laugh one day when a kid riding a moped waved at me, he was so excited at the "wave" phenomenon it was cute.

Who ever started that wave at everyone ought to be shot.

Try it sometime around a big rally when there are thousands of bikes on the rode.

You feel like your arm is going to fall off!! But i just found out from G WIZZ RANCH that because i ride a Harley i don't have to wave at everyone.

That will save my arm i guess
