Anybody ride (motorcycles)

When I had my Kawi I rode with a guy that had a Sportster. I used to ride circles around him, but the chicks always checked out his bike. He got drunk one night and left his keys in the ignition. It was gone the next day. After that he was always asking to take my bike for a ride during lunch break. He bought his new paid in full. That was in 81 so it was only 4100 or so. Back before they jacked the prices like houses. He had no insurance.

I like all bikes. I just really get off on extreme acceleration. You know that feeling like you better lean over the bars or you're going to be doing a hell of a wheelie.

Enjoy your bikes.

I ride, as far north as Alaska and south into Mexico, I have never been east as far as Kansas ( my bride says I was chased out of Kansas by a cloud, but they have mean clouds there, and I think she might be right ). I have gone as many as 1200 miles( the distance fron Kansas to home ), in a day to as few as 10 ( the distance to the nearest town ). I stop to help folks that are broken down ( Harley riders often take offense if you offfer help from someone on a Goldwing , and Goldwings come from Marysville Ohio by the way ). So much for my history, I wave to all other bikers ( and get mad when the "no windshield Harleys, and crotchrocket bikers won't wave back ). but I keep waving . I also like the quiet bikes the "loud pipes save lives thing is wasted on me".
Oh and so far it has not been mentioned: they took the speed wobble out of the Harley by installing "Indian" forks.
and Harley, Harley made of tin, ride em out and push 'em in.
If it doesn't show I come from a long line of Indian riders
But just to ask, what do motorcycles have to do with chickens?

And how do the years go by so fast when the days are so friggen long?

conny63malies - Tell your hubby THANK YOU for what he does.

denimangle - I found the PGR website just a while back and signed up for our state notifications but haven't been out yet.

I was in the Navy - USS McKee, AS-41

My husband will ride year round but I am definitely a fair weather rider. I usually ride my 97 Honda Magna 750. Mine, Mine, Mine. My very first all mine bike. My husband has a 97 Honda Valkyrie, a ninety something goldwing and a 2003 goldwing. I love the 03 wing. It is a huge bike but it's as nimble as the BMW I used to ride. When I was looking around to buy a bike I considered the Harley as they are low to the ground. Unfortunately I have a bad arm and the vibration bothered it. The Honda is not as bad on my arm so I ended up with it.

This is too funny, I think I might be married to that Navy/biker/readheaded chick in the above post. But I that she should recount, there are at least 17 of us old goats.

my DH finally got to ride today. It was to cold to take her out or too rainy. DH ant risk getting the uniform wet going to work.
kustomizer geez can you japanese motorcycle riders ease up alright?

My hubby has 2 harleys one is Sybil she is a 95 bagger with over 165,000 miles. Then he has a 01 bagger with just over 133,000 miles on it. Both had under 15,000 when he bought them. Sybil has earned her name she gives him loads of trouble when she is in one of her moods. I told him to never let Sybil park next to the new one she will tell her to do bad things! We've had some great trips out west to Sturgis, Grand Canyon, Jackson Hole just beautiful places to ride.
We have a big bike meet in Eureka Springs, Ak every year with bikers from the FFBMC.com board. I'm poison ivy on that one too. Hubby is Kick come on over and say hello.

i didnt even have to look up where you live one look at your bikes says everything. nothing tastes yuckier than lovebugs. I see we are not the only ones that name their bikes. Our first(the one that got run over) was named Baby Girl and the one we have now is known as The Beast. My DH is known as ZOO BAT.

Hubby says the new one hasn't earned it's name yet so it just called 01. Sybil has a history of pulling all kinds of stuff on him. He worked on the engine once and said he let the genie out and now she has multiple personalities. I like her the best of the two she's more comfortable to ride on.

The beast just got the name after we but some Rinehart mufflers on. Those new bikes areso quiet that they sound like a freakin Honda. Now she is all good and loud again. All she wants now is a chrome oil cover, a new handle bar and grips .Her owner says she needs a flat black paint job.

I am currently ride LESS and miss it horribly. I have owned, ridden and raced for most of my life.

Some of my babies...

Yamaha FZ600 (survived direct hit on a wild boar at 110 mph)
Kaw 500 EX (sold)
Honda CBR 600 (sold and upgared to the 900)
Honda CBR 900 RR (my absolute favorite)
Honda Shadow 1100 (Got bored with it and traded it for two other street bikes)
GSXR 1100
Honda VFR750 (My favorite Twin)
Heaven help me but I did actully own a Harley Sportster and am ever thankful it is no more.
