Anybody use Gabbard Farms? Orp or Ameraucana pics?

I won't ever buy from them again.

I guess it is all in the expirience. I love her 2 dozen variety pack. I have bought them 3 times and out of 24 egg,16 hatched(each time) and were very healthy. I would buy from her again.

Like Randy, I would not purchase from them again.

My experience was very negative, just to get the eggs. Strung me along for 3 weeks, each week saying next week the eggs would ship Monday. I had to leave town a couple of times and delayed my departure thinking they would be shipped on a Monday and arrive no later than a Wedsday using priority mail. She never notified me the eggs were not shipped. I had to raise a real stink to get them. When she finally shipped them on a Monday (supposedly), I received them on a Friday. The distance to travel was 500 miles. Eggs are now in the bator, but based on the way I was strung along I have my doubts of success. I ordered a dozen each of 4 breeds (Buff Orp, RIR, BR, and Light Brahma).

I have also ordered twice from two different BYC members. Both from PA to Tx. Both shipped on a Monday and arrived on a Wednesday. Approximately 1400 miles.

I would not purchase from them again either. They did send me lots of extra eggs, and when I was ready for them, but 1/2 of the eggs exploded and the rest did not hatch. There was not a shred of bubble wrap in the box. They did offer to send replacements, but I did not feel it was worth my time & effort. I think they are just overwhelmed. That's my opinion though.

I guess we'll see... bought porcelain d'uccles from her, they arrived safely and well packed and are now in the 'bator. Julie seemed very helpful and I was pleased with the service.

I have mixed results about her. At first I raved how great her Spitzhaubens look and purchased her Spitz roo but on the other hand, the chicks I hatched was not all up to par.

I've heard and had, plenty of negative results on her birds, eggs and chicks. So therefore, I shy away.

If you want eye candy, different egg colors for your eating basket, go for it but it is buyer's beware.

Google her name and you will get your information, positive and negative feedbacks and make your judgement in whether or not to buy her hatching eggs.

Hardly...just saying buyer beware and be sure and ask lots of questions. There may be issues that some of us are aware of that you know nothing about.

Amen!

I shot myself in the foot in the meantime!

Embryo is decaying or old eggs or eggs that had a hairline crack or cracks that it would just explode when it "grows" bacteria.

Never had that happened to me but had friends that did, and it was a MESS for them!
