The box with the waterfall in the back is the filter. Just a skippy type. Not sure how it works yet, but we've got at least 3 weeks of use where it isn't totally disgusting, but it is green and poopy.
I bought a pond/pool vac and will drain it this weekend to start over to see if I can keep some of the poop out of it to help prevent all the algae. I'm sure without the filter, it would just be a big pool of disgusting.
We have a 1200 gph or thereabout pump pushing water into the filter box.
