I just bought off of amazon(actually company off amazon) the exoterra digital hygrometer. It was packaged in bubble wrap, I took off the battery tag to start it and it turned on for splt second and faded out.I tried pushing the on button, followed all directions. I even reinserted another battery that my gqf spot checker therometer uses and same thing. Is this defective? I contacted the seller and waiting for response, anything else I can try to trouble shoot.
