Nah you just buy the frozen ones.I probably have had shredded, then. It's just been such a long time. (They take more work, I'm guessing, so people stopped making them?)

I get that for sure. We always had food on the table, but my mom was a single mom and we had many similar meals. I adored (and still do) lima beans over cornbread. I never realized that was a meal of necessity until I got older.I grew up on the poor side, and Mom really knew how to budget.
Wednesday was navy beans and hamhocks, Thursdays were leftovers from Wednesday.
I would add ketchup... I still love the dish, but can't stand ketchup![]()

Nope. Grew up in Massachusetts near the Cape. My mom used to make us those all the time. One of my favorites!I have told many many people about the banana mayo sandwiches and no one has ever tried one before! My mother grew up in South Carolina, do you live in the South? Is it a regional thing?
True.I imagine it’s because you weren't the one making them?
Banana mayo sandwiches sound absolutely diabolicalAmbrosia is alright, marshmallows, whip cream, fruit... No mayo or savory to it cause that's gross.
BUT my mom used to make banana mayo sandwiches for us when I was a kid, not a fan.
Don’t yuck my yum!Banana mayo sandwiches sound absolutely diabolical![]()
*cough jello shots cough*I would be happy to never see a box of Jell-o or anything concocted with it again.
