Setting myself up for ridicule here but I have several items that have been advertised on TV. None of which I have ordered from TV though.
My absolute favorite is the Seal A Meal system. It works, period. We've used it for marinating (takes 15 minutes instead of overnight), food lasts MUCH longer, I've sealed my old family bibles to prevent aging of the paper, individual meals premade for camping trips, clothing for when we go boating, you name it ... I've probably sealed it. I love that you control the size of the bags and they can be washed and reused. I dont use a lot of brown sugar, but I've had some in a mason jar ... sealed with this every time I use some ... it's been in there for over a year and a half, still fresh and still soft.
You with me camera guy? LOL
I have the Miracle Blade II set ... LOVE THEM! I wont use any other knives since them. I love to cook and the long ones are the ones I use to cut through whole frozen brisket. These were a Christmas gift. I still wanna get the butcher block for them though. Been usin them 5 years this year, haven't sharpened any of them. Now I've not used any of them on a pipe, vise, shoe OR drywall ... but for tomatoes, they rock!
I also use the Bullet mixer. That thing just rocks! Just bein my wife and I, it is perfect for makin whipped cream or salsa. (Not together though ... ewwww.) Mixes up my protein drinks perfectly without dirtyin up the full sized blender. This little animal is really great ... been usin it for a year now. This came from my in-laws. (Makes GREAT margaritas too!)(Oh, if ya run out of powdered sugar, put regular sugar in this with the dull blade for about a minute ... powdered sugar.)
Just got the Shamwow set. Not overly impressed with the little ones, but the big ones DO soak up mucho fluid without dripping. We use 1/2 of 1 for a dish drain, 1 for a bath mat and others in the laundry room and in the garage. Since we just got them I'm sure there will be other uses. Maybe drying the dogs after a bath! Got these at Bed, Bath and Beyond.
I'm not saying that everything that you see on TV is as described, but those items ... I've been very happy with.
Just my $0.02 worth.
Peace!
