Anyone close to Carolina Waterfowl? Emergency help needed (graphic)

I sure hope they've gotten some help by now. We had snow off and on, but the drizzle that fell all day has turned to ice.

I'd really like to thank everyone who responded here, privately and on FB to help out Carolina Waterfowl Rescue. There has been an outpouring of support for them!

I'm not affiliated with them in anyway but they really do great work there and I'm thrilled to see what they do for the animals that they rescue.

Thanks again!!

Laurie

I was able to go to their website and make a donation thru Paypal, so easy. I, too love this rescue. Jennifer took in Marmalade from me when I needed to find him a good home. She has given him a loving home and takes him to alot of the CWR functions. He was one that was badly injured in this crisis. I also have adopted 2 geese, 2 ducks and 2 pigeons from CWR. I planned on going back tomorrow to adopt again but due to the weather, I can't make it. I would love to see Marmalade. I am going to try to make it next week. I hope more people can help them in any way possible. This rescue is priceless and Jennifer is priceless. Every state should be so lucky to have a rescue of this magnitude.

Since most of us are stuck at home because of the weather, we also made a donation thru paypal and your right it was so easy. I think that they will get great response, just hope all the ducks and geese are okay and hope Marmalade makes a full recovery also. I hope they will post so we all will know how things are going.

this cold weather is about to get on my nerves

!!!!!!!! All my chickens water was frozen this morning and i had to get a bucket full of water and let them drink out of a bucket. They were so happy to have water they were fighting over it. Can you believe it snowed here! I live 10 miles from the Fl line and this is only the second time it has snowed since 1972 or something like that. the first time it snowed last year about this time!!!! AHHHHHH

Oh hun, I didn't know that Marmalade was yours! Oh so you're really feeling horribly that he was injured! My heart was just torn in two when I saw how he was injured as well as the others. I love Marmalade and Pringles and well all of them! And you're right, donating is so easy! When you finally do get over there, please give Marmalade some scritches but also give Jennifer a great big hug from me!

I'm still working to get them what they need there. Jennifer gave me some great tips and lots of help when I went to her about a bobcat breaking through my duck run and carrying off one of my Pekin drakes. CWR is wonderful and Jennifer and everyone that helps out there are wonderful!

Thanks Laurie! Hopefully when I go next week, Marmalade will be there. Jennifer has taken him home a night or two but he is recovering. He is eating, standing and even crowing. Good signs. It's amazing the number of friends on facebook that are pulling for him. Warms my heart.

I got a nice thankyou email from them this morning, it said Marmalade has a broken jaw, poor thing. glad to here he's eating and crowing.
At least we're having a little break from the snow and cold this week hopefully they'll be able to get things back to normal before the next round....just wanted to say it is a broken bone in his jaw, I guess thats the same as a broken jaw, just thankful him and the others are okay.

I got a nice note from CWR too with an updated pic of Marmalade. He is doing better and pepped up considerably when he got around his girls. He has been crowing too. Yay for Marm!!!! I can breathe easier now.
