My wife and I had a good laugh today when "Weeza" went to scratch like a normal chicken. Her middle toe is deformed and she can't use it. She scratched and fell on her face. we both:lau and then went to help her. she is our special and will always pay her special attention. I'm just glad she made it. She is our focus among all our flock right now.

Checked the eggs no pip yet. tomorrow is the full 21st day. set the eggs about 5:00 first evening so I guess that overnight didn't count.I have heard of eggs piping at day 20 before, just was hoping I guess.
It is hard to contain the excitement, lol. My only hatch of 10 shipped eggs pipped at about 20 days and 3 hours. It took right at 24 excrutiating hours to zip and hatch!

You would count day 'one' 24 hours after you set your eggs. Sometimes if the incubator temp was running a little hot, the chicks will hatch early, if run cooler they will hatch a little later. I don't remember if this is your first hatch and if so, take a deep breath and enjoy the ride. It's very exciting and so, so delightful to see those little wet, weird creatures emerge from their shells! Good luck and please post pics. :fl
