Anyone due March 15! Keep track here with others!

I have 3 chicks and 3 pips right now. I am a little concerned. I have 1 chick that has a small amount of yolk attach that hasn't been absorbed. I opened the bator and put him by himself wrapped loosely in a napkin thinking that it would absorb or start to dry and fall off but he keeps trying to walk around. Is this normal? I have never seen this. I have another the pipped a little while ago and fluid is coming out. It is a yellowish brown and I haven't seen this either. The whole is a little low so I don't know if it is upside down. I have them in egg crat so should I take it out just in case?

UPDATE: Our hatch (from our own eggs) was due on the 14th, but we had some eager ones. We had 3 to hatch Friday around 9pm & the majority of the rest hatched on Saturday & a few on Sunday. We had one hatch this morning & have one more to go. We started with 28 & 6 of those were clears, so we were left with 22 good ones. 19 have hatched so far with one more pipping. Hope to post pics soon. So, with only 2 quitters I didn't think that was bad considering this was our first ever attempt at hatching!

I'm so relieved to hear you had a hatch this morning. It gives me hope for my straggler.

How can you tell? I am just starting to learn the basics. My roo is a D'uccle, I believe, and female is a black bantam cochin. So far, the two babies I have are black, taking after mama.

OK, final count is 4 new chicks. But they were shipped eggs and the 4 are very healthy and all hatched on their own. One chick hatch be has died.

I think it is my post office. I had one descent hatch of shipped eggs last year but with that shippment they called me from the Zanesville, PO instead of sending it on to my local PO. I had a 67% hatch dispite the fact that it was my first hatch and I had no idea what I was doing. When they come through my post office I get a 33% hatch rate.
