i just cant see any movement (that might be because of my cruddy flashlight), and they dont look much differnt.. all i THINK i can tell is that the air sac is getting bigger.

I have never seen any movement in mine. Has anyone seen a chick in an egg move?

On another note, I started my Miss Prissy incubator that I built at about noon today and it is working well. My thermometer probe in in a weasel and is right now showing 98.9. I am going to leave it a while longer and if it doesn't go higher then I will tweak the thermostat a tiny bit to see if I can get it to stabilize at 100 degrees.
It is working a lot better than my hovabator.
I candled more eggs last night and this morning and so far I have changes in all that I have checked including the one from the Safeway store. The amazing thing about that one is that I had those eggs in the fridge for about two weeks before I noticed that one looked fertile. It will be interesting to see, if it hatches, what kind of chicken it turns out to be.

Candling is my favorite part! I love watching the little guys roll around in there. Much easier with light eggs, I never see anything at ALL with Ameraucana eggs- but even with my BR and RIR brown eggs I can see the little guys break-dancing in there

I'm a newbie too who has been candling with a little flash light and I thought the movement I was seeing was caused by me moving the light around.
But they do seem to move on their own when I hold very still. Kind of reminds me of a lava lamp.

I candled all of mine yesterday and they all seem pretty filled with chick. I did throw out one of the 12 last week due to a blood ring so now I have 11 that look pretty promising.
