so no opening the incubator the whole time??? i might have to once or twice to put extra warn washcloths ex. to increas humidity.. well that be ok?

If you get some tubing you can add water through that onto a sponge or rag you already have in there through the air holes. I found out the hard way if you open it even if the humidity seems to come back up, the chicks can get really sticky. Is hard on them, best to just leave it closed if you can.

Hi!
I put 12 eggs in the incubator on 1/18 and am hoping for a precious bunch of barnyard muts, some may be pure BO.
I have a BO rooster and another rooster that is EE x ?. I have hens that are BO, RIR, Australorps, EE, BR, red sexlink and EEx?. I hope I got the abbreviations right.
This is my first experience hatching eggs, I want to buy Speckled Sussex and Jersey Giant eggs to hatch but thought I'd practice on some of my own.
Good luck to you all I'm looking forward to hearing about your hatches and learning more.
