anyone due on feb. 8th-13th??

Hi BockBock,
That rooster that my daughter is holding is a hatchery Buff Orpington my hubbie picked up at the feed store last spring. He is a big guy, my daughter named him John and he's a big teddy bear. He was supposed to be a pullet! But I'm glad he wasn't!

that thing is huge do they usually get that big how much does he way and also have you tried using him to mate with i would love some eggs from his line

so when is every1 going to candle i am going to try to candle monday see if i can atleast some of the white eggs or cream eggs so it is easier

Hi BockBock,
I don't know how much he weighs. He might seem so huge because my daughter holding him is only 6 1/2.
I believe he is the father of most of the eggs I'm trying to hatch.
Maybe we can do an egg swap some time in the future. I'd have to learn how to pack eggs.
But I'm sure I am at the right place to find out!

ok i would love to but as the actual swap goes i live in the city and am not really allowed roosters and as of now i for to cockeral and 1 laying hen but i will greatly pay for them tho

thats cool good luck i got a wide veriety set to hatch around the 10th they range from silkies and other bantams all the way up to jersey giants some naked necks in the middle

I set 15, GLW's, buff brahmas, EE's, 3 serama eggs, and one white silkie (which I REALLY want to hatch). I just did a lengthy post about my temperature & humidity concerns.

AND 11 buff orpington eggs which just arrived this afternoon (Fri.) after a long journey across country!
