What adorable chicks! I found a 1/2 egg shell by Gypsy's nest last night and heard peeping so her babies were starting to hatch.

I have only 1 egg left in the hatcher. The others didn't fare so well. Either quit or were blanks. If it hatches out, which I hope so, I'll slip it under Gypsy as I'd planned to do with the others.

Well here is the update.
Due date was Friday. I had 10 out of 12 hatched by bedtime. Then today- SURPRISE another one popped out.
So, this week, I had 4 BO's from my hen hatch and 9 Australorp/Dom x's from Pumpkinpup!

I think the last egg is a non-hatcher, but I will wait til tomorrow.
I moved the 10 new ones to the brooder with the other two from earlier this week.

Woot!! Suddenly hatching in the winter doesn't seem quite so insane!

Mine are still hatching.....This is taking forever!
I have 6 out and surprize one turned out to be a silkie mix...lol
One died after zipping...

still some pips in there so we'll see.
This is a weird hatch I"m having. This is my last until spring.

Here are my chicks; first picture is when I put the first hatched in there. The other two pictures are from this afternoon. They are going to their new homes tomorrow.

Just got in from our show and I have two pips!! Ok, and the big news is I also have 1 just hatched chick!!!! One pip and the chick are the Welsummers. THANK GOD! And the other pip is one of my mutt eggs due the 16th! I will give the Welsummers and the three cuckoo Marans more time. I am on day 22 for them. Never had such a late hatch? Must be weather???

I will post pics tomorrow. I am EXHAUSTED.

But my other great news is I took BEST IN SHOW with my Satin American Guinea Pig Sow! I am so excited since it was my first BIS after 6 years of doing this!!! (Ok first 3 were my daughter's showing then Mom jumped in.)
