How many minutes does it take to boil a quail egg, with a lightly rolling boil??
SOunds like you have the secret to a great peel!

poke a tiny hole in the round end then drop into boiling water. the hole will allow water to get between the shell and the membrane. Allow them to cool completley (I usually store them in the fridge overnight) they will peal with ease

my quail have finally filled my bator and i plan on making some quail eggs for my 4 year old son tonight it will be his first time eating them....lol

I just boiled some tonight....I peeled most of them under running water and I took 2 of them and soaked them in vinegar...in less than an hour, the shell was dissolved and just the white membrane was left. It is still a little hard to peel but easier than with the shell....and the egg tasted nothing like vinegar!. The kids were fascinated ( so was I).
