Anyone else a TRAPPER?

Quote:
Here I thought I was the only one here that knew about Newt, Snareone. I was going to suggest him to those in N J with the bear problem to contact him. He is just at the other end of the state. But he doesn't make a bear snare, he probably could figure it out. Just has to be a LOT stronger. He does make a fine product.

I am not sure if this goes in this topic.. We are coon hunters. We do not waste, it is good exercise. We are looking for a good hunting dog, if anyone knows of a trained dog, let me know. I will pay for shipping. Sorry I don't want to solicite. But I do trap, but mostly for the challenge of going out to find one in trap.

I'm always surprised how many people here that I trap an go...THAT IS SOO CRUEL....WHY DO YOU MAKE THE ANIMALS SUFFER...THOSE TRAPS HAVE BIG NASTY TEETH DONT THEY?.........First off trapping is not cruel...if you have ever been trapping or on a trapline you would see 9 chances out of ten the animal is sleeping when you get there. Also leghold traps DONT KILL OR HURT the animal...sure it is a little uncomforatable but not to the point of death. Connibears or Body grippers are an instant kill trap. I use for muskrat and coon. Also beaver. And MODERN TRAPS DO NOT HAVE TEETH...these traps were banned many many years ago....traps today are much more humane. I trap in Central PA.

we only use traps for nuisance animals. We just caught a ground hog that was digging under the shed. When I saw him he was huge, turns out he was at least 20 pounds. I swear his feet were as big as my dogs.

I trapped for years on weekends only during school. I could make more money during the season then the other kids did in a year working fast food. There was a high bluff overlooking the river that I would call in coyotes too. Not unusual to get ten of them a day.

Not a real trapper, but Have gotten probably a dozen coons and a dozen possums by just stragetically placing a live trap with some marshmellow bait for the coons and air for the possums.
