What part of the country are you in? We're in Northern Maine, with lots of snow on the ground...
But.. I'm very excited and can't stand myself waiting. I've got 3 trays of seedlings started... 6 tomato types, 8 peppers, brocolli, brussels sprouts, leeks and 2 different onions. Will be transplanting those into pots later this week and using the trays to start more.
I've got so many seeds I've lost track (not really.. I did up a spreadsheet to keep track!)
I went to Johnny's Seeds in Winslow, Maine yesterday-- got more seeds (for me and for co-workers), pot markers, pots and a broadfork.
Picked up 2 "different' seeds in an Asian grocery store in Massachusetts yesterday-- an Asian Kohlrabi and Chinese Kale.
I've already bought seeds for yellow and green snow peas, french beans and yardlong beans (taiwan black) Another bean called Corne de Belier, and a Roma bean.. Napa Cabbage.
Five color silverbeet chard, giant fordhook chard. More lettuces and greens than I can count (about half a dozen lettuces and at least that many mixes)
Zuchinni, Waltham Butternut squash, Australian butter squash,
Charantais melon, Golden midget watermelon.
2 types of orange carrot, a red and a purple carrot. Albino beets and 2 different kinds of pak choi.
White pumpkin, fairytale pumpkin.
Dill, basils, oregano, stevia, chives, parsley, chervil.
Zinnia, sunflowers, baby's breath, sweet violet. A whole bunch of flowers I just got from wintersown.org also.
Also putting in hops rhizomes this year.
And can't wait for the asparagus to come up!!!!
Edited to add:: The majority of my veggies are heirloom seeds so I can start my seed saving endeavors this year ( my second year gardening as an adult
