you and me both! I've had chickens before and they wouldn't hold still for nothin! poor little things prob didn't wanna stand to close to me with scissors and needles might have thought i was gonna turm em into chicken bbq! perhaps i could use a cat tranquilizer to get em to hold still for their fittings!

I can't get chicks posted where I am. Well, I haven't found anyone that will yet anyway. I can get either fertile eggs mailed or older pullets transported by road at a very high price. I wish I could get chicks posted, I am having trouble find the breeds I want around my area. I guess I'll find them when it is meant to be.

I am gettting 36 chicks - Speckled Sussex, Buff Orpington, Silver Grey Dorking, Buttercups and some EE's. They will be brooding in my kitchen until they are old enough to go outside.

Getting 10 white silkies from Ideal, due to ship on 2/3. This is our first time getting chickens and we are so excited!!!

I actually will go through Cameron on that same day but can't pick them up because dd has appt at Temple scott & white and I have no idea how long it will take us...
